What do those icons mean?

The recording is currently available.
The recording has been made and will be available soon.

How do I download them?

Click the green speaker icon next to the lecture you're interested in and select the download option from the window that pops up.

.
.

How do I play them?

We recommend that you view these files in iTunes, QuickTime, or on an iPod, because we have tested the audio and visual elements on all three. An iPod, of course, provides the benefit of portability, but slides with smaller text may be difficult to read. Playing the file in iTunes, the slides will appear where you normally would see album art. Clicking on the image will open it in a resizeable window. In QuickTime, the slides will appear in a resizeable video window. Also, some slides include web links that are impossible to click if playing the file on an iPod. iTunes can be downloaded for free here; QuickTime for free here.

.
.

How big are the file sizes?

Each file is between 12 and 25 megabytes.

.
.

Is this a podcast?

No, but we plan to make a podcast of these available soon. These audio files are identical to the files that comprise a podcast, but for the collection to be considered a podcast it has to be made available as a feed to which a user subscribes. We plan to release the lecture recordings as a podcast, but will continue to make individual recordings available as well.

.
.

How did you create these recordings?

The recordings were made with ProfCast and edited in GarageBand.
