Chicago Bioethics Coalition

The Chicago Bioethics Coalition is an informal, interdisciplinary group of clinicians, ethicists, and people interested in bioethics from medical centers, academic institutions, and the community in the Chicagoland area and Illinois. Founded in the early weeks of the COVID-19 pandemic, the group met weekly to navigate pressing ethical issues, including resource allocation, vaccination, and issues in emergency patient care. The inter-institutional collaboration fostered by the CBC has resulted in coauthored academic papers and op-eds.

The group now meets monthly to discuss ethics issues impacting health care, and communicates between meetings via listserv.
