Our center is responsible for the ethics and humanities education included in Feinberg's medical curriculum. Our courses explore the values of the medical profession and the ethics of the patient-physician relationship, provide an understanding of Health Law, and introduce students to new perspectives on the cultural aspects on medicine. During the students' clerkship and subinternship years, we meet regularly to discuss clinical cases and explore ethical challenges specific to individual medical specialties.
Throughout all four years, we aim to foster a community of discourse on the ethical, social, and cultural aspects of medicine within the medical school. More information about the MD curriculum can be found through the Augusta Webster, MD, Office of Medical Education (AWOME).
